Citisense supports three councils to secure Lane Rental scheme approvals

Citisense has supported Redbridge, Kingston and Sutton Councils through the successful approval of their Lane Rental scheme applications, with our work now continuing as each authority prepares for implementation.

Citisense supports three councils to secure Lane Rental scheme approvals

Each council has a different network profile and sets of challenges, so our support has been tailored to the needs of each authority.

Our work has included supporting the application process, scheme development, Traffic-Sensitive Street (TSS) evaluation, monitoring requirements and cost-benefit analysis, alongside assessing the staffing, operational and financial implications of implementation.

This evidence-led approach has helped each council develop a scheme that reflects the needs of its own network while preparing for the practical requirements of delivery.

With all three schemes now approved, Citisense is continuing to support the councils as they move towards implementation, helping them prepare for the operational and resource requirements of running Lane Rental and establish appropriate monitoring arrangements.

From application to implementation

For us, approval is only one stage of the process. Successful Lane Rental delivery requires an evidence-based approach throughout:

“Citisense has been thoughtful and considerate of our needs. They are attentive and professional throughout, and clear with their actions, thoughts and ideas. I would highly recommend Citisense to anyone requiring Lane Rental support.”
