Hackney Downs LTN Public Consultation Case Study
Following the Hackney Downs Low Traffic Neighbourhood (LTN) being made permanent in February 2022 as part of the ‘Rebuilding a Greener Hackney’ intiiaitve, which aims to improve Hackney for walking and cycling, encouraging people to spend more time in their local area, Hackney Council – Following a ward forum meeting in May 2023 Hackney Council responded to resident’s concerns with the new LTN by proposing.
The Camden High Street pedestrianisation project represents a bold step toward a safer, greener, more accessible urban space. By fostering active travel, improving air quality, and enhancing the local economy, it has the potential to serve as a model for future pedestrian-friendly developments across London.
